Scotsman Alexander Simpson began manufacturing shaving brushes and other male grooming supplies in 1919 and is widely regarded as a pioneer in the industry. Production was originally based in east London, but later in Clapham. In 1941, after losing its factory during the Second World War German Luftwaffe blitz, production was moved to the West Country at the famous Nimmer Mill. Today, Simpson's shaving brushes and related products are manufactured by Progress Shaving Brush (Vulfix) Limited in the historic Isle of Man. They are still hand-knotted in the traditional way by experienced workers.

The Trafalgar is the latest product from our new line from Alexander Simpson Est. 1919 shaving brushes. This beautifully crafted and eye-catching handle is filled with our unique Sovereign synthetic fibers.
