The Material - Marsh Oak
This rare material is not a separate type of wood, but comes from wood that sank in swamps centuries ago and has undergone various changes over time. These natural processes ensure that the wood is preserved in a sustainable way. The tannins in the swamp give the wood an expressive, dark color.

The scarcity of these tree trunks makes swamp oak a true rarity. The color varies from brown and dark brown to black-brown. To create the handle, square pieces are cut from the few usable parts of the trunk, which are then shaped into handles. Various polishings with fine oils provide an extra seal and give the surface a silky-soft, matte finish.

Slightly only a few parts of this rare wood can be used. To make the wood particularly resistant to external influences, it is treated with a specially developed acrylic resin. The surface of the turned handles is then additionally sealed in multiple polishing processes, resulting in an elegant silky matte finish.

Without chrome, the world would lose much of its shine. In the finishing of our shaving accessories, chrome shows its best qualities: the material is corrosion-resistant, particularly durable, and has a luxurious, seductive shine. It contrasts beautifully with the colors and shapes of other high-quality materials, which are thus optimally showcased.
