Product description
Ingredients

At one end of the strap is a ring that allows the ironing strap to be attached to a nail in the wall, and at the other end is a metal handle, which can be held firmly to achieve the desired tension.

Features of the leatherThis natural vegetable-tanned cowhide leather is a classic and traditional leather processing that gives both the upper and the back part of the belt unique and natural properties.

We recommend using our sharpening balms or pastes from Dovo (Solingen) or Herold (Solingen).

Environmentally friendly and respectful of the environment.

Dimensions: 400 mm x 45 mm.

Manufactured by HEROLD in Solingen, Germany since 1919

Maintenance:

Keep your belt/strop clean at all times, as dirt particles can deform and damage your razor. Do not store the strop in damp environments or direct sunlight. Use a leather care product to protect the strop from drying out and to keep it flexible.

Recommendations for grinding:
On the side of the vegetable-tanned leather, we recommend using our polishing pastes or balms. Apply a thin layer of polishing paste and rub it in with your hand or a cloth.

Gebruik:

Richten:

  1. Confirm one end of the strop to a hook.
  2. Hold the other end and pull the strap tight.
  3. Place the razor flat on the canvas side of the belt.
  4. Pull the knife towards you, first sliding the back of the knife and then the edge over the strap. Then move the knife away from you.
  5. Repeat this process 15 times, with minimal pressure on the knife.

Polijsten:

  1. Place the knife flat on the leather side of the strop.
  2. Pull the knife towards you, first sliding the back and then the edge over the strap. Then move the knife away from you.
  3. Repeat this process 20 times, applying as little pressure on the knife as possible.
