About our privacy policy

Beard and Co cares a lot about your privacy. Therefore, we only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

Beard and Co

Our online store is developed with software from Shopify. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of our services will be shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Shopify is obligated, based on the agreement we have with them, to take appropriate security measures. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored.

Web hosting

We use web hosting from Shopify. Shopify processes personal data on behalf of
us and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. These are not personal data. Shopify has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Shopify is obligated to confidentiality under the agreement.

Email and mailing lists

MailChimp

We send our email newsletters using MailChimp. MailChimp will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of each email that is automatically sent via our website, you will see the 'unsubscribe' link. You will no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is securely stored by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other internet technologies to provide insights into whether emails are opened and read. MailChimp reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in this context, share information with third parties. For our regular business email traffic, we use the services of Combell/Office 365. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data.

Shipping and logistics

Bpost, DPD, DHL

When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to deliver your package to you. We use the services of Bpost, DPD, DHL for carrying out the deliveries. It is necessary for us to share your name, address, and city information with Bpost, DPD, DHL. Bpost, DPD, DHL uses this information
only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that Bpost, DPD, DHL engages subcontractors, Bpost, DPD, DHL will also make your data available to these parties.

Invoicing and accounting

For keeping track of our administration and accounting, we use the services of Shopify. We share your name, address, and residence details, as well as information related to your order. We sell (a part of) our products through the Bol.com platform. If you place an order through this platform, Bol.com will share your order and personal data with us.
